Every so often, you find a tourism article that is actually relevant to where you live.
With great pleasure, I read about a 70-mile roundtrip bike ride that starts just up the road, in Gillingham, Dorset.
I aspire to such a ride. First off, I need to buy a bike (plans afoot for that in a couple of weeks). Then I can get on the bike, cycle around the block, get off and have a cup of tea. But in the summer of 2016, I can tell myself that I will do this big 70-mile ride.
It’s written by Sam Jones, a campaigner at CTC, the national cycling charity. Sam is from North Dorset and he labels it as My Favourite Ride.
Thanks for that, Sam. I’ll let you know when I finish it. Next year, I hope.
